Jnana (pronounced Gyana) is the yogic path of knowledge or wisdom. I want to create a space for us to come together in conscious community (sangha) to dive into yogic philosophy. We will start our exploration with Anand Mehrotra’s interpretation of Patanjali’s yogic sutras. Come as you are, drop into the heart, ready to explore these ancient teachings and understand life in our modern world a little more clearly.
Our first book: “This is That” by Anand Mehrotra
6 week series - Tuesday’s at 6:30pm
Discussion on Pada 1: 3/10, 3/17, 3/24
Discussion on Pada 2: 4/7, 4/14, 4/21
The purpose of this gathering is to encourage us to dive into this ancient wisdom and to connect to speak on it’s relevance in our modern lives. This is an open format. Anyone who would like to share their thoughts on the sutra that resonated with them most is encouraged to do so. All questions and perspectives are relevant. Obviously, we speak on 1 sutra per week (which would take a couple of years) so for the sake of time, this is our format:
April 7th: we will cover Pada 2, Sutras 1-19
April 14th: we will cover Pada 2, Sutras 20-32
April 21st: we will cover Pada 2, Sutras 32-55
